Charles Sanchez is a former NASCAR driver from Ripon, CA. He competed in two Nextel Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten. His first race came in 1958, when Sanchez debuted at Sacramento. Starting 10th in the field of twenty-eight, Sanchez fell two laps down in the race but still drove to a stellar 6th place effort. Sanchez was not able to top that in his other race, returning to Sacramento in 1959. Starting 14th in the field, Sanchez was stopped by early engine issues and finished 21st.
