The January 1, 1996 Edition of WCW Monday Nitro was held in the The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia. It's the start of a new year for WCW, 1996. 1995 could be considered somewhat of a success, getting a prime time television show on Monday Night, getting Benoit, Malenko and Guerrero... three really good wrestlers all within two months. However, WCW continues to center around a core of 4 to 6 people. Hogan, Savage, Sting, Luger, Flair and Giant.
