Convection is the movement of heat though the movement of fluids (liquids and gases) from places of high temperature to low temperature by the movement of the fluid itself. The movement of warm fluids are called convection currents. They move because when heated, fluids expand and become less dense. The less dense fluid rises above the colder denser fluid, and the cooler fluid sinks.
