Sargasso Bay was a city that was built in the Sargasso Sea by a community stranded pirates and sailors, the "Sargasso Pirates", who lashed lashed together ships that dated from at least the 15th century. For years they also plundered vessels that wandered into the Sargasso's waters. In 1939, Dr. Indiana Jones, his conman "brother" New Jersey, Bill Lawton and Cairo drifted into the Sargasso Sea and were taken to the city by Quartermaster Segar.
