The 1967 American 500 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at North Carolina Speedway on October 29, 1967. Bobby Allison won his first race with the Holman-Moody Racing team, leading 164 of the 500 laps in route to a one-lap victory on David Pearson.
