Luke Skywalker was the twin brother of Leia Skywalker and the son of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. Luke was born in 19 BBY on Polis Massa. He was sent to live with his aunt and uncle, and was raised on the remote planet of Tatooine. He often dreamed of leaving and fighting the Galactic Empire, but his uncle would not allow him to. Eventually, his family were killed by Imperial forces under the command of Starkiller and Luke prepared to go to Alderaan with Ben Kenobi. However, Ben was killed by Starkiller as Luke was leaving. Eventually Luke would destroy the Death Star and rescue his sister Leia with the help of Han Solo.
