Ratchet: Locked & Loaded is the second game to bear the Ratchet moniker without Clank in the title. It also marks a return to the Teen rating that was given to the first four titles in the series. The story is much darker and more serious than in previous games and is also much more important. The game is also not-canon to the main series, branching off into the alternate timeline known as the Paradox Saga.
