A goat dog was present when Aang built a new zoo in the Agrarian Zone of Ba Sing Se for Kenji, the zookeeper. When Aang blew his bison whistle to call for the zoo animals, many domesticated creatures, such as the goat dog and a small child's pet cat, accidentally responded to the call. The animal appeared in the cage of an elephant mandrill, along with several breeds of cats.
