Joseph G. York was the brother of Alan York. When his brother didn't show up at the brothers' weekly golf game, York called his brother several times. He went to his house to find him and his niece, Janet, missing, and blood splattered around. He notified the LAPD. He later spoke to Susan Collier and it was discovered that Kevin Carroll was an impostor.
