Bertesca Primo was the founder of the Bertesca Famiglia and thus, its first boss. He was mentioned in the third installment of Fate of Heat DS game Katekyo Hitman Reborn! DS Fate of Heat III - Yuki no Shugosha Raishuu! Even though he never made any appearances, Parvento once stated that Gelaro greatly resembled the Bertesca Primo. Bertesca Primo and the Vongola Primo, Giotto, were close friends, their Famiglias forming alliance together to protect their respective townspeople. Their time of peace didn't last long, however, as a man named Parvento started to wreak havoc on Catafalco Island, terrorizing the villagers of the island.
