The EF 24-70mm lens is a wide-angle to normal lens made by Canon. The lens has an EF mount to work with the EOS line of cameras. This lens has excellent contrast, color rendition and sharpness. It is nearly on par with Canon's professional prime lenses except that it does exhibit some barrel distortion at the wide end of its zoom range. A lens favored by many professionals, the 24-70mm f/2.8L has replaced the 28-70mm f/2.8L as the top EF mount lens in this focal range.
