He was known as an amateur collector of alien insignia and a practical joker among his friends, which included his fellow engineer Boq'ta. He and several others volunteered for a salvage operation on board Empok Nor. When he prepared the wish list of items to obtain, he included Cardassian insignia and emblems in the "Would Be Nice" category, hoping to add to his collection.
