Your sim has to be caught cheating by flirting with another sim. Their reaction will be giving their spouse a slap across the face. After that you choose your sim and then to interact you will see a menu that says "break up". As a result the other sim caught cheating will cover his or her mouth and break up crying..then walk away from the house never to be seen again
