Hellslayer is an elite unique Decapitator, a type of axe from Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. A robust weapon that gives high bonuses to both Strength and Life, Hellslayer also dishes out an extremely high maximum damage; it in fact has the highest potential maximum damage out of any unique axe. Still, a player has to be at high enough character level to have this bonus. Hellslayer is cousin to another unique axe, Messerschmidt's Reaver. While the Reaver has a higher minimum damage, Hellslayer has a higher potential maximum damage and added Fire damage.
