(DIS: "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad") According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 62) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), Beta Rigel was an A-class star. According to the ENT novel Tower of Babel by Christopher L. Bennett, the Beta Rigel system was the home of the Rigelians, the turtle-like Chelon and the primitive Kalar.
