Royal Crown Cola, a minor player by the time the bombs fell in 1983, almost disappeared world-wide due to its primarily American market. Expatriates in the Caribbean, though, found that its formula was more accessible than that of Coca-Cola, the major soft-drink company in the world at the time. Both "RC Cola" and "Coke" were based in the former US state of Georgia (Columbus and Atlanta, respectively). Though industry politics in the ANZC kept the brand low key, by 2010 it had become a major player there. In the American nations, start up companies had begun making the product as trade with the SAC was restored.
