A Hur'lai was a Force amplified sword used by the ancient Jedi and Ashla for fighting before the invention of the lightsaber. The first swords were made by Tythoni smiths around 25,900 BBY, they were used by both the Ashla and Bogan during the Force Wars of Tython. The Jedi adopted the Hur'lai when they merged with the Ashla and used it until Jedi Master Siencheluk created the first lightsaber shortly after the end of the First Great Schism.
