Mr. Rivers is a character mentioned in Final Destination. The father of Clear Rivers, Mr. Rivers was close to his daughter, the two often going out to his cabin in the woods, including once in 1986, where they went fishing. Several years before the Flight 180 disaster, Mr. Rivers, while out to getting cigarettes from a 7-11, was approached by someone, presumably a mugger, who demanded he not turn around. Apparently on reflex, or thinking someone was merely playing a joke, Mr. Rivers did turn around, and was shot in the head by his assailant.
