Oscar Wilde (16 October 1854 – 30 November 1900) was an Irish playwright and writer. Captain Edmund Blackadder mentions Wilde when he's up for a court-martial. According to Blackadder, Wilde wasn't a homosexual, but a champion boxer and bestselling author of "Why I like to do it with girls" (which had resulted in Wilde having over a hundred illegitimate children). And Wilde's conviction was the work of brilliant lawyer, Bob Massingbird, whom Blackadder has requested to defend him.
