Savings and Loan was one of two banks in Little Italy, the other being the Bowery Bank. It was managed by Simon Bennett, who also had shares in the Crest View Hotel in Midtown. The bank was more well protected than the Bowery Bank, and had a private vault which was owned by Donato Stracci.
