Lya Station Alpha was a Federation Spacedock-type space station that was in service with Starfleet in the mid-24th century. This station orbited a planet. In 2368, the USS Enterprise-D traveled to Lya Station Alpha with survivors from the attack on the Solarion IV colony. Ensign Ro Laren came aboard the Enterprise at this station, and Captain Jean-Luc Picard met with Admiral Kennelly there regarding suspected Bajoran terrorist activity. (TNG: "Ensign Ro" )
