Ghost Games is focused on the development of next generation Need for Speed titles. On 22nd October, 2012, Criterion Games confirmed that a new title of the franchise was being worked on by EA Gothenburg. It was officially unveiled as Need for Speed: Rivals by Electronic Arts on 23rd May, 2013. Need for Speed: Rivals was released on 19th November, 2013. Utilising the Frostbite 3 engine, the title was developed in partnership with Criterion Games.
