The Fib Formula was a spell that Gargamel had inadvertently cast upon Smurfette in the cartoon show episode "The Whole Smurf And Nothing But The Smurf" when he had intended to cast the Truth Tonic spell on her to make her tell nothing but the truth. The Fib Formula caused Smurfette to tell nothing but lies, as Gargamel and the Smurfs would find out in the episode. Papa Smurf created an antidote for the Fib Formula and secretly switched it with the Fib Formula that Gargamel created after Smurfette lied about Papa Smurf curing her, and with the antidote sprayed upon her, Smurfette told Gargamel that there's a bear behind him, which made Gargamel assume that the Fib Formula worked until he saw for himself that Smurfette that time was telling the truth.
