Evans was a Havenite citizen and an enlisted member of the People's Navy. In 1903 PD, Evans held the rank of Petty Officer, and was assigned to PNS Saladin as an engineer. He was one of the few enlisted sailors to be retained when Saladin was transferred to the Navy of Masada and renamed MNS Thunder of God. Upon the announcement of the Code: Bounty Four-One, Evans was able to get to the ship's pinnaces in the boat bay. During the mutiny, he was wounded and reported to Commander James Valentine, giving a report about what he had seen. (HH2)
