Robert Pickavance is a British actor who appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as Dr Phillips, a paediatric consultant at Weatherfield General who tried in vain to save newborn Jake Webster in June 2000. He returned to the programme as the District Judge at Weatherfield Magistrates Court who presided over the preliminary hearings of both Tony Gordon in November 2009 and Gail McIntyre in March 2010.
