Ansonwu are Awakened monkeys similar in appearance to the Agropelter (the Awakened variant of the rhesus monkey). They are carnivores, and although they are quite small compared to most metahumans, they typically hunt in social pack groups of up to 50 members to take down larger prey. They are also known to carry an endemic disease that causes itching, shaking, and eventually madness and brain death if not treated. The Ansonwu is native to West Africa.
