"Valerie" is a song co-written and performed by Steve Winwood in the late 20th Century. Sometime between 2374 and 2377, Johnathan Bucyrus named the "Wild Roses" from various 20th Century songs. "Valerie" was the inspiration for "Number Five," who would also become his companion and common-law wife (USS Baldwin: "Wild Roses")
