Gaughan is a river that appears in Might and Magic: The Shadowsmith. It was broader and wilder than the river Lehr, and the boats traveling on it were larger, with wide, flat bottoms to remain solidly upright. The most perilous section of the river was known as Busy Water; a long stretch of foaming rapids and dangerous whirlpools. While it's not specified in the novels, it's likely that the town of Gaughanwell was near the river. After a long journey, the group left the water caravan at the town of Landerlank in the Madescent.
