TT-32-GE3 was the thirty-second GE3-series protocol droid to find itself in the employ of Tien Tubb, its predecessors all having been destroyed in accidents (including explosions). TT-32 asked Meetra Surik to retrieve IT-31 from Kodin and later rewarded her for completing the task.
