Dr. Silvano was a fictional character featured on the popular 1980s sitcom The Golden Girls; never seen or heard from, he was only mentioned in the episode "The Triangle". Dr. Slvano was Sophia's doctor. He died in August 1985. Out of the need for Sophia to find a new doctor, he was replaced with Dr. Elliot Clayton, who Dorothy began dating soon afterwards in the Season 1 episode.
