Bayushi Shaiga was a bushi, ninja, and scout of the Scorpion Clan, and a member of the Dark Sword of Bitter Lies. He was one of the students of the Dojo of Bitter Lies who fought to supress a peasant uprising that nearly put the city of Ryoko Owari to the torch, saving the city from destruction.
