The antimatter storage system was a component of a starship used to safely contain antimatter. The primary support braces of the antimatter storage system aboard Jem'Hadar battleships were comprised of viterium, which became unstable when exposed to delta radiation, so the storage system would tear itself apart. The USS Valiant attempted to destroy a battleship by exploiting this flaw in 2374, but failed. (DS9: "Valiant")
