Kennedy was visiting Liverpool on a family tour in England, when, coming out of a cinema with wife, Jacqueline and his children, he was shot to death by 19-year-old John Michael Osbourne. After arrested, Osbourne claimed it wasn't a pre-planned assassination, however, because he died before any detailed interrogations could be made, conspiracy theories still exist. After JFK's death, his brother Robert F. Kennedy succeeded him, and was elected to President of the United States. His widow, Jacqueline Bouvier-Kennedy married rich tycoon Stewart McHenry, nephew-in-law of Welles.
