The Cult of the Shadow (Wm."Awg-Dâth") was the name of the Sauronite Religion in the farthest East.The Cult of the Shadow was enforced by the Lawmasters of Sûr (Sauron) after the Nazgûl Khamûl had conquered the last divisions of the Wômaw Lands in TA 2400.The Rule of the Lawmasters collapsed after the Defeat of the Shadow host in TA 2656 by the Rebel people of the Steppes (who were supported by the Ithryn Luin, Dwarves and Avari Elves).After the Collaps the Rebel Dynasty of Ôn arose which persecuted the remnants of the Sauronite Cult and was able to repel the Great Attack of the Shadow Hosts in TA 3019.
