Yokei was a merchant and member of the Kolat conspiracy in the 5th century. He cultivated an unusual type of tea leaf which had been discovered growing in the Twilight Mountains, founding the Seven Dragons Inn at Boar's Flanks, in the remote valley known as the Lair. When the leader of the Boar's settlement Heichi Jomei ordered the Lair sealed, the Inn became the social epicenter, a place where gossip and rumor were served as quickly as tea and sake. While the rest of the Emerald Empire began to forget the Lair, Yokei and his descendants would keep the Kolat aware of their existence.
