The Ancient Stone Beast is a unique boss monster in ADOM. It carries the Chaos Orb of Elemental Earth, which the PC needs in order to complete the game. Like earth elementals, the Ancient Stone Beast can walk through walls and quickly regenerate. Due to its habit of wandering through walls, the PC will usually encounter it before having to dig all the way into the heart of the temple. In ADOM v. 1.2.0 the ASB is also capable of firing huge rocks as a ranged attack; although this does not seem to be that powerful compared to its melee attack.
