Hachimanian Reckoning is the system employed in Hachiman for reckoning the years. This is done by a cycle of eight named years, being: * Year of the Tree * Year of the Fish * Year of the Stone * Year of the Sun * Year of the First Moon * Year of the Second Moon * Year of the Sword * Year of the Arrow In Hachiman, the years are also reckoned by the year of the reign of the ruler. Therefore, an example would be 222AC which was the Year of the Fish in the fourth year of Shogun Aykira, (who came to power in 218AC).
