Status: The Cousteau was a Federation shuttlecraft in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century. Designated as a captain's yacht, she was assigned to the USS Enterprise-E in 2372. The Cousteau had the same internal architecture design as Danube-class runabouts. (ST reference: USS Enterprise Owners' Workshop Manual) The Cousteau was scrapped and replaced by a new yacht christened Calypso. (TNG - A Time to... novel: A Time to Be Born) The Cousteau was named after 20th century undersea explorer Jacques Cousteau.
