Jeshavis, also known as "the Mother of Orlais", was the first female chieftain, or gyoja, of the unified Ciriane tribes that established Orlais. Eight generations afterwards, her tribe would coalesce under Emperor Kordillus Drakon's rule as the Orlesian Empire.
