The Maructaja Desert is a large desert that stretches from the mountains in the east to a few hundred miles away from the Great Forest. It is very arid and is ruled by the hordes and steppe tribes, though at the foot of the mountains is the great city of Stóæ, ruled by the Chiang Dynasty. The main overlord of the steppe hordes is Hüng Maenn of the Orthakio, and his main underlords are Hühái Puekā of the Balars and Aahhin Áhča of the Zaurhocs. The other main cities of the Maructaja desert are Otthù Hjn, Mailae, and Aulae Baetae.
