The Blade of Darkness was first conceived on Teth by the ancient Dark Jedi, and would become the a symbol of the Dark side of the Force signature weapon until the introduction of the lightsaber. Nevertheless, the Blade of Darkness saw use throughout the Despot War, the Force Wars between the followers of the Ashla and Bogan, and up until the Mandalorian Wars. As the name suggests, there was another blade, the Blade of Light, used by the Jedi.
