Leslie Robert Atles 1953 - 2013 Leslie R. Atles, CCE, CBET, a well known industry veteran, passed away on February 20, 2013 at the age of 59. ( photo Les 1 ) Les had been the Chief Biomedical Engineer at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System since 2010. Previously, he held positions as Director of Technology Management for MasterPlan (now ARAMARK Healthcare Technologies), as National Biomedical Advisor for Marquette Medical Systems (now GE Healthcare), and as Director of Biomedical Engineering at St Vincent Medical Center, Los Angeles.
