A rectory droid was a droid that worked in food service. In 20 BBY, one that was working in the Jedi Temple dining hall was unable to determine if Grand Master Yoda's food was edible and attempted to take it away, resulting in a tug-of-war with the stubborn Jedi Master which ended with the bowl shattering and its contents flying everywhere.
