Paaloc incense was a type of incense that was reserved for only the absolute highest-ranked members of the Yuuzhan Vong caste system. Its scent was said to evoke memories of Yuuzhan'tar, the Yuuzhan Vong's ancestral homeworld. Lord Shimrra burned the incense within his citadel. Because of its rarity, paaloc was outlawed amongst the lower castes; the penalty of execution awaited any Yuuzhan Vong of insufficient status caught possessing the substance.
