It was refurbished in the early 1990s by OakLodge Construction Ltd for South Yorkshire Housing Association. However, this didn't last and paint started to peel off. Its future was for a while under review by Sheffield council - see link below. However, they went ahead and commissioned Walter Forshaw Ltd to demolish the block. This took place between Autumn 2011-Spring 2012.
