The Escape from Earth was one of the last major battles of the Third Tiberium War. GDI attempts to demolish Threshold 19 were thwarted by the Scrin and Nod; the defenders were not formally allied and but benefited from a convenient confluence of operational objectives, albeit in pursuit of different strategic goals.
