Nanoc was an male alien humanoid underling who was formerly employed by disreputable business boss Zagtun Bonecrusher. In 2287, Bonecrusher hired the bounty hunter Sweeney to capture Nanoc to settle unfinished affairs between them, which Sweeney did quite easily. When Bonecrusher died in an accident at Beta Origii, there was no one left to pay Sweeney for his efforts capturing Nanoc. Sweeney offered Nanoc the opportunity to buy his freedom, but didn't have any money, so Sweeney killed him anyway. (TOS comic: "Not... Sweeney!")
