Peter Blair Black (22 April 1917-27 March 1997) was a Conservative Party politician. Elected to Middlesex County Council in 1949, he became a county alderman in 1961. When Middlesex County Council was abolished, he was elected to the successor Greater London Council in 1964 as one of four councillors representing the London Borough of Barnet. He remained a member of the GLC until its abolition in 1986, later representing Hendon South. A member of the Metropolitan Water Board, he was chairman of the successor Thames Water Authority from its creation in 1973 until 1978. Image here [1].
