For time immemorial, the furthest northern reaches of Rhonnos have been shrouded in darkness and death. The Lycari tell takes of those who spurned the Raven Queen's gift of peaceful death and headed north to the shores of the Sea of Frost and beyond. The Undead have always held a place in the shadows and fears of all those still living. But the Undead were few and far between, usually brought about by some power hungry necromancer or the touch of Vecna or Orcus. In 1074, those fears became a nightmare for some.
