Wanda was an assistant at Weatherfield & County Building Society in 1991. When Curly Watts went to the establishment to row with mortgage manager Adrian Gosthorpe over Kimberley Taylor, who had dumped Curly for Adrian, Wanda thought he was trying to rob Adrian and pressed the silent alarm behind her desk. The police responded quickly and were able to apprehend Curly before he left the building. Wanda was a non-speaking part.
